No More Lohan.

Although he does seem agitated, this is what I'd rather hear.

I decided to post this video because of the debate that we were having about whether or not the media is doing the democratic system any justice. Obviously, not all anchors report trash news. Although he is somewhat calling his own news station out because of the story they wanted him to report, this is the type of thing that doesn't make me want to completely turn my back on the media.

  1. I completely agree with your title, but now we need to add Paris Hilton to that with her recent reemergence into the "news". I hate when they report on this kind of stuff. It seems like everyday there is something on FoxNews.com about Lohan. I'm not exaggerating when I say everyday either. I hadn't seen that video before, but that is good stuff. Also, good point about how we shouldn't demonize all media outlets because they're not all bad all of the time.

  2. Woot! Go Cafferty! I'm glad to see he refused to read the "soft news" and I think it's an example of even the news hosts wanted to stick to the harder, more applicable side of news. We need more anchors like this! He saw how pointless of a story it was. I hope that this continues and we see more of the hard news on hard news stations. Keep entertainment to the entertainment channel :)

  3. I agree wholeheartedly with this story and I am glad to see that a news reporter stood up CNN about reporting this kind of trash. Who cares about Lindsay Lohan and all these other spoiled celebrities who continue to disobey the law and expect to get away with it because of their status. It is ridiculous! This kind of news reporting on celebrities and their lifestyles is a form of soft news and we really need to do away with it eventually. We need to get back to when the news only reported about news that matter not the garbage that's out today.
